Double wing eyeliner is very popular this fall, and is definitely a trend that you should try! It is very daring and different though, so you definitely have to step out of your comfort zone for this look. Most people are already familiar with the one wing eyeliner, but this trend is taking this look even farther.
First, you want to find a good, long-lasting black liquid eyeliner. Liquid eyeliner will work best for this look, but gel liner could also work. I recommend to not use pencil eyeliner for the wings, because it won’t give you the best results and will most likely smudge. But you will need it for the waterline and lower lashline! For liquid eyeliner, I recommend the Maybelline Line Stilletto. But gel, the Mac Fluid Line Gel Liner or Bobby Brown Gel Liner. And lastly for pencil liner, the Milani Liquif’eye Eyeliner.
Taking your liquid or gel liner, make a precise thin line along the top of your upper lash line. Try to make as clean of a line as possible, but if it’s not perfect don’t worry. You can always clean it up in the end. Then, you want to start making the first wing. Start drawing out your wing and try to line it up with the outer corner of your eyebrow. Once your line is created, fill it in back to your upper lash line that you first made. The thickness of how you want the wing to look is definitely up to you!
So now you have your first wing, you want to start creating the second one. Taking your liquid or gel liner again, start making a wing of the same thickness on the outer corner of your lower lashline. Instead of making this wing flick upward, you want it to be for the most part straight. Don’t flick it up too high because it’ll clash with the top wing you made. Connect the wing to your lower lashline.
Lastly, to make everything come together, line your lower lashline and waterline with pencil eyeliner. This will make the bottom wing liner blend in better. You can also line your top waterline with the pencil liner as well. This look will take time and practice, so don’t be upset if you won’t get it the first time! This trend definitely makes your eyes pop out and even though it’s a little risky, it’s a must-try this fall!
