Review: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils
646 days ago by admin
The NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils are widely popular and are arguably considered the best products by NYX. They consist of a very creamy formula that applies very smoothly onto the eyelids. A huge pro about this product is that it comes in many different colors. This product retails for around $3-5 (depending on where you buy it from). They aren’t necessarily a drugstore product because they aren’t sold in drugstore (such as Target), but they are definitely inexpensive. They are more commonly used a cream eyeshadow for a base before applying powder eyeshadow. What’s great about these eye pencils is that they feature a non-crease formula. Most cream eyeshadows will crease because they are too creamy and can easily just glide off. But these NYX eye pencils definitely have long-lasting staying power! Eyeshadow applied over these eye pencils appear more vibrant and stay on much longer. This product almost has the same concept as an eyeshadow primer, but they can be applied by themselves as well! They are very easy to blend out, and you don’t even need a brush to apply them. Simply use your fingers to blend them out however you want.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils could also double as an eyeliner. Many people might say that it’s too creamy to be applied as an eyeliner, which in most cases is true. However, a way to avoid it being too creamy is to keep it in the refrigerator. This will harden the formula more and make it less creamy. You don’t want to do this too much though, as this could ruin the entire product formula.
Overall, this is a great cream eyeshadow product and you definitely can’t beat the price! They work just as good as the more expensive cream eyeshadows, such as MAC Paintpots or MakeupForever Cream Eyeshadows!

Review: Maybelline One-by-one Mascara
647 days ago by admin
Every now and then, Maybelline comes out with great mascaras that are arguably the best drugstore kinds. They came out with the one-by-one mascara about a year ago, so it isn’t completely new. It retails for about $5-6 in most drugstores. It comes in the colors Blackest Black, Very Black, and Brownish Black. This mascara claims to create bold, fuller lashes without the clumping. It’s innovative “lash-catcher” brush catches, coats, and declumps your lashes – one by one. So obviously by its description, it sounds like a really good mascara that contains features we all really want in a mascara.
First of all, the packaging features a bright coral-red tube. It looks very similar to many of the other Maybelline mascaras, such as the Falsies or Collasal mascara. The brush itself isn’t the usual bristles – it’s a rubber brush. It is a pretty big size and round in shape. It has many short bristles which is great for separating and lengthening your lashes.
I find that this mascara is great for voluminizing and lengthening your lashes! Their innovative brush actually does with it says, and I find no clumping of my lashes at all which was very surprising. It doesn’t make your lashes super long or full, so if you’re going for that look I recommend putting on a coat of a more thickening mascara over top it. However, this is a great mascara, especially for beginners.
